In June 1996, the University of Hawaii Board
of Regents selected Maui
Community College as a University
of Hawaii Center site. Maui residents
can continue to live and work on Maui and
access an expanding selection of Bachelors
and Masters degrees. Classes are taught by
professors on-site or over the Hawaii Interactive
Television System (HITS) at Maui Community
College. Programs are designed around work
schedules. An average of 250 students are
enrolled per semester.
